As we enter these three sacred days of Forgiveness, I invite you to turn inward towards the most essential and often overlooked dimension of healing: Forgiveness of the Self. Rooted in Vedantic wisdom, the book emphasizes that suffering persists not because of past events, but because awareness remains entangled in self-blame rather than resting in its original wholeness.
Modern science reflects this same truth by showing that unresolved self-criticism keeps the nervous system locked in stress and defense, limiting emotional regulation and inner stability. When self-forgiveness is consciously cultivated, the brain begins to reorganize towards safety and coherence, allowing clarity, resilience, and healing to emerge naturally. This scientific understanding aligns with the Vedantic view that freedom arises when identification with past impressions loosens and awareness returns to its natural state.
